When it comes to landing yourself a new sales role, it is really important to utilise your profile and make your application stand out! For any role, and particularly in sales - a good candidate is one who will go the extra mile, with a really strong work ethic. Filling out your profile to the highest standard is a good place to start in showing future employers you have these traits!

As mentioned here there is no set rule when it comes to your bio and it is completely up to you what you choose to put. But remember that this is typically the first thing the employer will see so avoid big chunks of text and aim to give a punchy outline of who you are and what you are looking for.
If you have experience then definitely mention this briefly in your bio too - “Experienced Sales Development Representative with 8 months within the SAAS space”
I would strongly recommend specifying that you are pursuing a career in sales in your bio. This is particularly important if you are just starting your career in sales as apart from the application itself your bio may be the only place where you indicate that you are looking for a role in sales!
You would be surprised how many candidates are not taken through to interview simply based on the fact their profile doesn’t indicate a strong enough desire to work in sales!
Think of your profile video like a sales pitch - it is your chance to pitch yourself as a candidate and highlight the key things you might want a prospective employer to know!
If you do not have any direct experience within a sales-based role, prospective employers will be looking to see if you possess the mentality and personality needed to be a success in a sales role. Such traits tend to be tenacity (the job can be tough at the start with lots of outbound cold calling), target driven and motivated nature (important as it is a meromictic environment) and things like great communication skills, confidence and ambition etc.
We strongly advise creating a short video to add to your Tempo profile which will give employers a snapshot of you and see these soft skills which aren't always as apparent on your CV. It doesn't have to be too long, literally be 30-60 seconds just introducing yourself and what you are looking for/why is great and it can make a huge difference as companies love them!!
